StateOne Insurance was formed by Don Allen, and his wife, Sharon. They moved to San Luis Obispo in 1984 where they raised their two daughters in the community. For more than three decades, StateOne continued to grow mostly from referrals from our existing customers. StateOne Insurance operated in the same location for 26 years until with the changes in the world we moved to a virtual office in 2023.

In 2023 StateOne joined the Insurance Brokers West team.  This strategic merger to help clients benefit from the pooled resources of a larger agency. Don and Sharon have now entered retirement, but their familiar employees remain with the company.
